Program Liaison

The Program Liaison is responsible for assisting the Program Manager in planning and executing utility energy savings programs. Key functions include representing the company and utility partners in coordinating customer marketing and outreach efforts, managing customer relationships, creating internal and external communications, and working closely with management to ensure customer goals are met. The Program Liaison job functions also include recruiting and educating program participants on program requirements and benefits, ensuring strong relationships with trade allies are maintained, and performing various administrative tasks. Applicants should be highly motivated and comfortable working independently and in group settings, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Promote utility client programs through meetings, events, and presentations
  • Recruit homebuilders and HERS raters into the utility program
  • Fully understand and apply RESNET rules, standards, and testing requirements
  • Assist Program Manager to organize and run business meetings
  • Maintain Program(s) productivity and quality
  • Provide honest, timely, and clear communication to Program Manager
  • Work alongside Program Manager and external third parties to assess partnerships and opportunities
  • Maintain trade ally relations
  • Coordinate outreach and marketing efforts that promote the benefits of energy-efficient homebuilding


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-3 years of experience in the energy efficiency industry
  • Technical background, with experience in building science
  • Residential or Commercial construction experience preferred
  • RESNET or BPI certification preferred
  • Knowledge of basic economic and accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent written and strong verbal communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Must reside in the Greater Chicago area
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office
